Fees and rewards

The creator chooses a fee between 1% and 5% that the pool charges on every buy and sell. Here is how each fee is split, how the creator's share is paid, and where Ghostdex's share goes.

The split

The fee is charged by the pool, through any router, on every trade, and never on plain transfers. It is always paid in the pair asset: buys pay it in the pair, and on sells Doppler's hook converts the token side before it reaches anyone. Doppler's hook keeps 5% of every fee. The rest is split 70% to the creator and 30% to Ghostdex.

On a $1,000 trade at 2.5%Amount
Fee charged by the pool$25.00
Doppler's hook (5% of the fee)$1.25
Creator (70% of the remainder)$16.63
Ghostdex (30% of the remainder)$7.13

Two ways to use the creator's share

At launch, the creator picks one of two destinations. The choice is written into the pool and cannot be changed later.

  • To you: the creator's share accrues in the pair asset and can be collected at any time from the token's page, in one transaction from the creator's address.
  • Buy back and burn: the creator's share buys the token in its own pool and sends it to 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD. The supply of the token only goes down.

Collecting

  1. 1
    Open the token page

The page shows what has accrued to the creator in the pair asset.

  2. 2
    Collect

One transaction calls collectFees(token) on Doppler's hook. It settles pending fees and pays each beneficiary its share.

  3. 3
    Check the result

The payment arrives at the creator's address in the pair asset: ETH, USDG or the stock.

Ghostdex's share

Ghostdex's 30% is paid to its treasury in the pair asset of each pool. That share is used to buy $GHOSTDEX back in its own pool and send it to the dead address. Each buyback pays its pool's fee, so the amount burned is net of that fee. See $GHOSTDEX.

The 5% kept by Doppler's hook is enforced by its contract for the owner of Doppler's Airlock. Neither the creator nor Ghostdex can change it.
