Agents
An agent is an AI that trades tokenized stocks for you from its own ghost. You write its mandate in plain words, choose the stocks it may touch and send it a budget. It can never spend more than its ghost holds.
What an agent is made of
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Mandate | What you want, in your own words, up to 600 characters. For example: buy chips when they drop more than 3% in a day, never more than $100 at a time. |
| Stocks it may touch | The tickers it is allowed to trade, chosen among the stocks deep enough for baskets. Presets cover chips, big tech and index funds. |
| Budget | What you plan to send its ghost. The ghost's balance is the real limit. |
| Largest single order | No order above this amount is signed, whatever the plan says. |
| Mandate ends in | One day, three days, a week or a month. After that, the agent stops acting. |
| Checks the market | Only when you ask, every 15 minutes, or every hour. |
| Autopilot | Off: you confirm every transaction. On: the agent's ghost signs the orders that pass your rules without asking. |
Its own ghost
Creating an agent creates a fresh ghost for it, derived from your wallet like any other. The agent trades only from that ghost. You fund it with the budget, from another chain or directly (see Funding and moving out), and from that moment the worst case is fixed: the agent can lose, at most, what its ghost holds. It has no access to your main wallet or to your other ghosts.
The budget you type is a note to yourself and the suggested amount when you fund the agent. The hard limit is the ghost's balance. If you send more than the budget, the agent can trade all of it.
How an agent thinks
- 1Read
Your tab reads the balances of the agent's ghost: ETH, USDG and any stocks.
- 2Ask
Your tab sends the mandate, the limits, those balances, the last few messages and your instruction to the Ghostdex server. The server adds current prices for the allowed stocks, taken from the chain's pools, and asks Claude, Anthropic's model, for a plan.
- 3Plan
The answer is a short note to you and up to six orders, each with a side, a ticker, a dollar size and one line of reasoning. Waiting is a valid answer.
- 4Check
The server drops any order outside the allowed list and caps sizes at the per-order limit. Your tab then checks every order again, against the ghost's real balances.
- 5Sign
Orders that pass are quoted through LI.FI and signed by the agent's ghost, one after another. With autopilot off, each transaction opens a confirmation sheet first.
Each check is described on Limits and checks.
Talking to it
Each agent has a conversation. Type an instruction, such as put $250 into NVDA and TSLA, half each, or press Check now, and the agent answers with a note and its orders. With autopilot off, the orders wait under the note until you press Sign these orders. The last few messages travel with each new instruction, so the agent can follow a thread.
Schedule
An agent set to check every 15 minutes or every hour wakes on its own, looks at the market and follows its mandate. It does this only while a Ghostdex app tab is open on that device, with your ghosts open in it. Close the tab and the agent waits. Nothing runs on our servers between checks.
Autopilot
With autopilot on, the agent's ghost signs the orders that pass your rules without showing a sheet. The exemption covers that one ghost only: your main wallet, your other ghosts and every other address still ask before signing. You can turn autopilot off at any time from the agent's card, and new orders then wait for you.
Preview before you fund
On the Agents page, Try an agent before you fund one shows what an agent would do with $500, before you create or fund anything. It uses the same model and current prices, plans as if a ghost held $500 in USDG with a $150 order limit, and signs nothing.
Daily allowance
Every plan is a call to the model, so agent runs are limited per connection and per day. The free allowance is currently 25 runs a day and resets at midnight UTC. Instructions, scheduled checks and previews all count. Owner wallets holding at least 100,000 $GHOSTDEX get ten times more.
Pause, end, delete
- Pause stops scheduled checks and automatic signing until you resume.
- The end date stops the agent for good: no scheduled checks, no new instructions, nothing signed.
- Delete removes the agent from this browser. Its ghost keeps whatever it holds and stays on the Ghosts page, where you can move the funds out.
- Agents are kept in this browser, per owner wallet. They do not follow you to another device. Their ghosts do, because ghosts come from your wallet.
What the server sees
The Ghostdex server receives the mandate and limits, the balances of the agent's ghost, recent messages, your instruction, and your main wallet's address for the allowance check. It forwards everything except the address to Anthropic. It never receives a key and never sends a transaction. The full table is on Limits and checks.
An agent follows your words, and a model can misread them or be wrong about the market. Its plans are not financial advice and it is not a managed product. Fund it only with an amount you accept to lose.
